The Grove

This project, created in 2017, was awarded by Wallpaper* magazine and exhibited in various locations, including Milan during Design Week, as well as in Stockholm, Spain, and Rome.
Martini consistently seeks to view his hometown from fresh perspectives, focusing on seemingly simple subjects that illustrate the contrasts he explores. Inspired by the urban landscapes of Rio de Janeiro, where trees intertwine with buildings, the project captures this dynamic relationship. The development centers on a scene where the treetop line separates the structures, leading to the creation of a furniture family. The upper halves are crafted from raw materials, while the lower sections feature a structural grid. When viewed together, the work reveals a cohesive horizontal orientation that reinforces its thematic intent.
