Lines

Lines Sculpture originated from the project #instærventions, later presented at the Museu da Casa Brasileira. These were hand-drawn digital interventions, created directly within the Instagram app over photographs of natural landscapes. Often produced during travels, they reflect an instinctive need to impose structure onto untouched environments. Through sharp lines and geometric compositions, the series reveals the human impulse to formalize the raw, to map the unmeasured, and to leave a trace.

What began as ephemeral gestures on a screen evolved into a series of sculptural commissions. Fabricated entirely in powder-coated metal—typically black or white—each work stands at human scale, composed of intersecting orthogonal planes and line-based grids. By rotating and shifting rectangular elements, the structures form freestanding volumes that feel both precise and weightless—monuments to the act of framing space.

Lines captures the tension between presence and absence, intervention and reverence. It transforms a digital instinct into physical form, inviting viewers to consider how even the most abstract geometries are grounded in the desire to understand, organize, and occupy the world.
