The Grove

Furniture collection in cork and powder coated metal
Awarded by Wallpaper* magazine and exhibited in Milan, Stockholm, Rome, and Spain

Grove is a collection of sculptural furniture pieces that, when assembled together, form a fragmented landscape—an abstract composition reminiscent of urban topographies. Created in 2017 and recognized by Wallpaper magazine, the project has been exhibited internationally in art and design contexts, including Milan Design Week, Stockholm, Rome, and Spain.

Each piece is constructed with a clear horizontal division at 40 centimeters. Below that line, geometric volumes made from metallic grid structures establish a rigid, transparent framework—rational, open, and weightless. Above it, raw toasted cork introduces mass and warmth, with tactile, irregular surfaces that contrast sharply with the precision of the metal. The dialogue between these two elements is meaningful and conceptual—a symbolic articulation of the ongoing friction between constructed environments and organic nature.

Inspired by the layered horizons of metropolitan cities—where vegetation and architecture constantly negotiate space—Grove becomes a visual and material metaphor for contemporary life. It is a meditation on density and emptiness, logic and growth, restraint and freedom—articulated through a precise, sculptural language that reflects the human desire to shape the world through form.
